MW 9" Ford thirdmember cases have more material around the pilot bearing that will not allow the use of the PCD pinion depth checker. Fortunately the MW cases are so precise that the required shim is easily calculated. All you need to know is distance from the end of the pinion pilot stem to the flange of the support. Using the PCMW, correctly determining this measurement is easy. Precision calibration standard is included. Instructions for this kit can be found on Service Bulletin #0006.

*NOTE* Works with MW aluminum or nodular iron cases only. Must be 3.25 to 6.50 ratios (the pinion head diameter is too large on high ratios)
